For a few days the class set out to understand why the freedom of press is just as relevant today as it was when it was implemented and why we must protect it. The main argument I got out of these series of lessons was that journalism today is being put in dangerous position of not being taken seriously by the readers and writers all over the nation. Within the context of politics facts don't carry as much weight as they used to. This has resulted in intentionally misguiding a group of people with the purpose of gaining profits or working towards a political agenda.
